Meanings come from this genre's invented word list, made for the generator: they aren't real-world etymology.
Vampire names here are soft on the outside: v, l, m and r carry them, with Slavic openings such as Dra, Mir, Rav and Cas, and dark open vowels in the middle. Endings like -escu, -slav, -ova, -itsa and -ienne give the cadence of an old European family.
Most of the hand-picked examples are real historic given names: Casimir, Radomir, Vasilisa, Ottilie, Aurelian, Morwenna. They show the register to aim for, and the generated names sit beside them without copying any real person.
Surnames start with a particle or a short root (Von, Van, De, Volk, Ravn), add a middle such as krov, sanguin, nox or carp, and finish on -ski, -vich, -stein or -court. The longer ones sound like a family that has owned the same castle for four hundred years.
A few of these pieces echo real suffixes, -vich among them, but the meanings the tool shows belong to its own invented list. Krov is blood there, carp a crag and -escu ‘of the family’; treat them as flavour, not as a history lesson.
Age is worth showing in the name. A vampire who has lived for centuries can carry a long name on the long setting; someone turned last winter probably kept an ordinary first name, so roll a surname on its own and pair it with something plain.
The dark tone adds nox, umbra and sable, the elegant one belle and oire. A title in front, Count or Lady or Margrave, does the rest of the work.
Hand-picked names first, then more from the generator, each with how to say it and what its parts mean.
