How it works

  1. Pick a genre: fantasy, anime-inspired, villain, cyberpunk and eleven more.
  2. Choose the gender, the tone and the length, and whether to include a surname.
  3. Change any option for a new batch at once, or ask for new names.
  4. Star the names you like to keep them, then copy one or all of your favourites.

Made to be said out loud

Every genre has its own sound: flowing vowels for elves, hard stops for villains, clipped tags for cyberpunk. The names are built from syllables, not picked from a list, so they are new and easy to say.

Questions

Are the names free to use?
Yes. Every name is put together on your device from original word parts, so you can use them for your characters, stories and games however you like.
Do I need an account?
No. The generator runs in your browser, with no sign-up and no AI.
How are the names made?
Each genre has its own bank of syllables, endings and surname parts. The tool combines them with rules for tone and length, filters out anything offensive and removes duplicates.
Will I get the same names as everyone else?
Only the first batch is the same for everyone. Every new batch uses a fresh random seed, so your names are your own.
